The 'Essence of...' Books are an excellent resource to support training delivery.
Are your training rooms a bit dull? (Why on earth office designers paint them magnolia I'll never know!)
Liven them up and make them sparkle by putting up some posters linked to the topic you are delivering. Posters also aid learning since (here's the science bit) most of us, when we are learning, go into a state every 20 minutes or so called Trans. You know… when you drift off into a world of your own?!
We then tend to stare into the middle distance and download whatever we see straight into our long term memory. So, just load the middle distance with learning messages so that even when delegates drift off they are still learning!
The Instep training team often move the posters around the room during the lunch break so that the delegates are looking at a different set in the morning than in the afternoon… that way they take in more of the learning messages.
Or, if energy levels are getting low, ask them to walk around the room and select their favourite poster. You can glean a lot about your delegates from which poster they select, and - guess what - getting them 'body physical' by walking about aids their learning as well!
We have a set of generic posters and 28 sets of topic-specific ones.
If time is limited (when isn't it?!) download a handful of the 'How to' Sheets, grab enough sandwiches for the team, and run a quick but effective 'lunch and learn' session.
Alternatively, if you are more of a 'high tech' team, how about selecting two or three of our 50 Lessons videos, watching them as a group and then having a great discussion about the content.
